He is the author of <em>Mill and Town in South Carolina, 1880\u20131920<\/em> and co-authored, with Peter A. Coclanis, <em>The South, the Nation, and the World: Essays in Southern Economic Development<\/em>. As a research fellow at the Global Research Institute of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010\u20132011, he was part of an interdisciplinary team seeking understanding of the industrial crisis facing North Carolina and the South.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-27-2\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-has-style\" ><div class=\"panel-row-style panel-row-style-for-27-2\" ><div id=\"pgc-27-2-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-27-2-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_media_image panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"4\" ><img width=\"150\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/publications.uscupstate.edu\/neh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/sheri-cash.jpg\" class=\"image wp-image-1684  attachment-full size-full\" alt=\"profile photo\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto;\" \/><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-27-2-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-27-2-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"5\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p><strong>Sheri Cash<\/strong> is a high school social studies teacher with 19 years of experience. U.S. history has been her main focus for the last ten years. She has a doctorate in curriculum and instruction because lesson planning is one of her passions. Dewayne currently teaches 8th grade social studies at R. C. Edwards Middle School in Central, SC.
